2. Arrival and Late Entry Policies
- Arrival Time: Students are expected to arrive 10–15 minutes before class begins.
- New Clients: All new clients are expected to arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow time to sign our Health and Liability Waiver, and to familiarize themselves with the studio.
- Late Arrivals: Latecomers are asked to enter and find their spot quietly (no talking) and to leave all personal belongings outside of the studio doors (keys, purse, shoes, water bottles, etc.).
3. Studio Etiquette and Rules
- Cell Phone Policy: Cell phones must be turned off and left in your vehicle or the foyer outside of the studio doors. No cell phones are allowed in the practice room. If you are dealing with a stressful personal matter that requires you to have your phone on your person or near you, please speak with your instructor.
- Scent-Free Environment: Due to allergies, students are asked to avoid wearing strong perfumes, colognes, or essential oils.
- Personal Hygiene: To ensure everyone’s comfort and well-being, we kindly request that you prioritize personal hygiene by showering before class and wearing clean clothes to practice in. We ask that you wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before class. This helps to keep the space and props clean and reduces the number of germs on hands and helps prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
- Noise: While the studio is a community gathering space and social interaction and sharing is encouraged before and after class, once class begins we ask that you keep noise and chatter to a minimum. Observing silence throughout the session shows respect for your fellow students and your instructor.
- Savasana Rule: While leaving class early is not ideal, we understand that sometimes it can’t be avoided. If you must leave early, please do so before our final resting pose (savasana) so as not to disturb others.
4. Hygiene and Equipment
- Equipment: Please bring your own yoga mat and any other props/tools you regularly use for your practice. Mats and other equipment (such as blocks, bricks, and straps) are available at the studio for student use, if needed.
- Cleaning Equipment: If you use studio equipment you are required to clean and sanitize this equipment after use. Cleaning supplies are provided. All equipment must be returned to the storage area in a neat and tidy manner.
- Personal Belongings: Please leave all personal belongings (such as bags, purses, backpacks) in your locked vehicle. The studio is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Shoes: All street shoes must be left outside of the studio in the foyer. If you must wear shoes during practice, please ensure they are clean and non-marking.
